Christmas is canceled in the birthplace of Jesus, Nazareth

The city where Jesus grew up, Nazareth, is recovering due to the recent move of the embassy. The mayor, Ali Salem, is canceling Christmas to protest against Trump.
At a press conference on Thursday, Salem said that Trump moving the embassy “has taken away the joy of the holidays, and we will cancel the festivities this year.”
This includes canceling a parade, concerts, the Christmas market and the amusement of thousands of visitors. But Salem believes that what Trump did is too offensive to continue normal celebrations. He said Trump “stabbed the Palestinians in the back.”
Many consider that this movement puts an end to any possibility of a peace agreement since no solution has been presented to include Palestine in the future of Jerusalem.
