The last Miss Iraq, has been forced to remove her family from their country because of the death threats they received for the selfi that was taken with Miss Israel in last November, according to affirmed the queen of the Israeli beauty, Adar Gandelsman, to the Hadashot newspaper and reports The Jerusalem Post.

Gandelsman has said that Idan made that selfie during the preparations for the Miss Universe pageant “so that people can understand that it is possible to live together.”

However, her action caused a stir on the Web and the Iraqi woman began to be harassed, for that act and for her photographic sessions in a bikini.

Today, Sarah Idan resides in the United States and has not yet removed the snapshot of the controversy of her Instagram account, because she wants to defend that message of peace.
