Luke 12: 13-21
13 One of the people said to Jesus, “Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me. 14 Jesus said to him, Friend, who has made me a judge or divider of you? 15 He also said: – Pay attention to all greed, because life does not depend on having many things. 16 Then he told them this parable: “He was a rich man whose land yielded a great harvest. 17 The rich man began to think, ‘What will I do? I have nowhere to store my harvest! 18 And he said to himself: ‘I know what I have to do: I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones to store all my crops and my goods.’ 19 Then I say to myself: Friend, you have many possessions in store for many years; rest, eat, drink and enjoy life. 20 But God said to him: ‘Fool, you are going to die this very night: for whom are you prepared?’ the same, but he is not rich before God. “
REFLECTION:
To say that the true blessing of God is the abundance of material goods is far from the teachings of Jesus when he was here on earth in bodily form, he made us several warning calls on the subject, despite the fact that over time, this teaching It has been so misrepresented that it has significantly affected the lives of many Christians by being confused or temporarily deviating from what real wealth really means. We cannot lose sight of what Jeremiah 17: 9 says: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and perverted. Who will know? “Because if we are not aware of this in our mind, we easily begin to trust the heart, and finally we feel so empty, because we keep searching and searching, and we don’t find what our soul really needs.
In this essay, we will address what real wealth means to our lives, our most precious treasure, in the same way that we will see the consequences of being dominated by the sin of greed by man.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
