This command prohibits any married person from having a voluntary sexual relationship with anyone other than their spouse. But Jesus explained this command in an interesting way in Matthew 5:27-28. His words were:
“You’ve heard the saying: ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman and desires her with desire has already committed adultery with her in his heart. “
We see that adultery begins in the heart with the desire to have someone else instead of your own husband. Let’s take care of the heart! Let us be obedient to God, let us try to strengthen our love and loyalty to our husband each day.
