For example, if we try to deceive someone by promising something we are not going to give, it is stealing because we are offering something we are not going to give. We may also steal by not paying for a product or service, or by giving an unfair or underpaid payment. We will examine ourselves and always try to act fairly when dealing with other people.
You will not steal
Here, we are encouraged to respect the private property of others and not try to take what belongs to them. There are many other things we can steal from people, not just money and possessions. In Leviticus 19:11-13, we see that the command also refers to these things.
