Matthew 25: 31-46
Similar to the parable of the wheat and the tares, this parable of the sheep and the goats marks the difference between those who enter the kingdom of heaven and those who will be wicked to endless punishment. The allegory is found only in Matthew 25: 31-46. In some interpretations of Holy Scripture, the subtitle simply says “The Last Judgment”, as it is part of God’s discourse that begins in the previous chapter on the cessation of periods. The parable begins by declaring that the Son of Man, God, will return to earth in salvation, establish his throne, and rule over the nations; just so that he can strip the goats of his presence and keep the sheep by his side.
The sheep
Verses 34-36 say: Then the king will say to those on the right: “Come, blessed of my God, inherit the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the planet. I was hungry and they fed me. I was thirsty and they gave me a drink. I was a stranger and they invited me to their abode. I was naked and they gave me clothing. I was sick and they took care of me. I was in prison and they visited me ”. These any battles are amazed at what the king said and ask when they did these things. The king rebuts them in verse 42: “I tell you the truth, when you did these things with the least of these, my brothers, they did them to me!” Every time they helped someone, they justified it for safety. They just wanted to hold without mentioning who was anyone. They did not do it to do good, but because they actually wanted to compensate. These inhabitants, whom God called sheep, were filled with appreciation. That is why they entered the kingdom of the Lord. In the second part of the performance, the king takes care of the goats.
The goats
Verses 41-46 say: Then the king will speak to those on the left and tell them: “Get out of here, damned, into the infinite fire prepared for the devil and his demons! I had an appetite and they didn’t feed me. I was thirsty and they didn’t give me a drink. I was a foreigner and they did not invite me to their abode. I was naked and they gave me no clothing. I was sick and in prison and they didn’t visit me ”. Then they will answer: “God, in what time did we see you needy or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and we did not help you?” And he will answer: “I tell you the certainty, when they refused to protect the smallest of these, my brothers, they refused to help me.” And they will go to eternal punishment, although the righteous will never enter eternal. This is a pretty strong antagonism. The ones that Lord Light Goats were so involved in their legitimate affairs and joys that they did not know how to empower their brother in need, nor did they want to help him. In their lives, these people were motivated by selfishness, not love. In short, those who enter the kingdom of the Lord are those who resemble him. His interiors and his works reflect God. Anyone who does not reflect on Jesus Christ will be thrown into the abyss.
