You will not kill
God values our lives from the moment of conception (Psalm 139: 15-16) and in this commandment it is forbidden to end human life. God loves us very much and His plan or desire for us is that we have life in abundance and that we receive eternal life through Jesus (John 10:10; John 3:16).
However, this command has a broader implication. In Matthew 5: 21-22, Jesus says it’s not just about ending someone else’s life, but …
«… whoever gets angry with his brother will be subject to the judgment of the court. Furthermore, anyone who insults his brother will be subject to the judgment of the Council. And whoever curses him will be exposed to hellfire. “
So, to fulfill the commandment in its entirety, we must examine our hearts carefully and make sure we remove any anger or hatred towards our brothers.
