The Christmas season is a time of celebration of the birth of Christ with family and friends, but for some, the holidays are a reminder of the loss of loved ones.

For Pastor Cyndi Foster of Beauty For Ashes Ministries, the unexpected death of her 7-year-old daughter, Lauren, changed her life forever.

During the weekend of Memorial Day in 1992, a branch fell off a nearby tree, hitting his daughter and killing her instantly.

Pastor Cyndi witnessed the whole incident.

“My daughter was sitting on a chair next to me on a small beach towel next to me in the small pool in the yard, and I heard a branch of a tree break and it happened so fast,” Foster said in an interview at CBN News Facebook. shows Prayerlink.

She explained, “It was like a nine-foot, 90-pound branch and it basically fell off and went through the head right in front of me and instantly killed it.”

Foster, who was a professor of faith at the time, said that she was immediately surprised and that she never imagined that something like this was happening to her.

After the tragic event, Foster said he asked God why he allowed that sadness to happen to her and her family.
