PROMISES SUBMISSION AND DESTRUCTION OF THE ENEMIES OF THE CHURCH

“In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing
serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea” (Isaiah
27:1).

“The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
He shall judge among the
heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries”
(Psalm 110:2, 5, 6).

“When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against
him” (Isaiah 59:19).

“He shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the
wicked” (Isaiah 11:4).

“Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as
nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them,
even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of
nought” (Isaiah 41:11, 12).
See verses 15, 16.

“Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD,
Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for
I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
And I will feed them
that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet
wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of
Jacob” (Isaiah 49:24-26).

“The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee
shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD,
The Zion of the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 60:14).
