Wisdom in the Bible
Wisdom is a peculiarity attributed to someone who possesses a great wealth of knowledge and is distinguished by using it wisely and with instruction. Wisdom develops over time, from one’s own and other people’s abilities, and from observation and reflection on history.
What is spiritual wisdom?
Spiritual wisdom is silence, which is also an ignorance, a learned ignorance, a cloud of ignorance, a dark night, a purification of the heart. As Saint Matthew says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
What is the wisdom that comes from God?
Jehovah gives wisdom, and knowledge and understanding come out of his mouth. (…) Knowing is not the same as being wise, nor knowing how to be understood. Holy Scripture says (Proverbs 9:10) that: Fear of the Lord is the source of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy of Holies is good sense.
